The Kalachakra palace rises in nested square walls of blue, white, gold-coloured and black from a small lotus at the centre, with a gateway topped by a tiered arch on each side and white offering figures on the courtyards.
Around it run rings of blue water, red and black bands carrying Kalachakra mantra syllables and dharma wheels, and a gold-coloured scroll-patterned rim, set on a deep orange ground glowing yellow around the circle.
