Yama, crowned with skulls, grips the Wheel of Life in his hands, feet and jaws, the whole painting drawn in fine gold-coloured line work on black with touches of blue.
At the hub, a rooster, a snake and a pig stand for desire, anger and ignorance, the six realms of rebirth fill the wheel with tiny figures and houses, a standing Buddha appears in the upper right, and a band of Tibetan script runs along the bottom inside a border of dragons.
