Crafts of Tibet is the online shop of our family's gallery in Thamel, Kathmandu, which has sold hand-painted thangkas for about 25 years.

Our paintings come from our own in-house painters and from independent artists, in both the Tibetan and the Newar traditions. They are very experienced, and some of them paint only for us. We also offer a small range of singing bowls and bells.

Every thangka is 100% authentic and ethically sourced: hand-painted in Nepal, never a print, and bought from painters and workshops we know well.

We grade our paintings and describe each one only from what you can see in its photo, and we name materials only when they have been confirmed in writing. Paintings ship free by express courier from Kathmandu, and you have 30 days from delivery to return any piece.

Our business is registered in Queensland, Australia, where we also keep a small number of pieces for Australian buyers.
