35 Confession Buddhas Thangka – 57×82 cm, Master Grade
Shakyamuni Buddha sits at the centre on a lotus throne, his right hand touching the earth and his left holding a blue alms bowl, framed by a pale green halo and a gold-coloured aureole set with jewels.
The other Buddhas of the 35 Confession Buddhas, in many colours, sit in rayed haloes on clouds around him, rising in tiers like a tree; offering goddesses ride clouds in both upper corners, and below lie green hills with trees and offerings of jewels and elephant tusks, inside a yellow border.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas. Unmounted: it comes rolled, ready to frame or to have mounted.
Size: 57 × 82 cm (22.4 × 32.3 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →
In the box: the painting, rolled (never folded) in a strong tube.

About 35 Confession Buddhas
The 35 Buddhas of confession are recited in a well-known Mahayana practice of acknowledging and purifying faults. Paintings usually show Shakyamuni at the centre surrounded by the other Buddhas in rows.
