Wheel of Life Thangka – 55×66 cm, Fine Grade
Dark Yama, crowned with skulls, grips the Wheel of Life in his hands, feet and jaws.
At the hub, a rooster, a snake and a pig stand for desire, anger and ignorance, the six sections around them show the realms of rebirth, and the outer rim shows the twelve links of dependent origination; a standing Buddha points to the moon at the upper right and a Buddha sits in a temple at the upper left.
A wide painted border of dragons, flowers and auspicious symbols frames the whole.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas.
Size: 55 × 66 cm (21.7 × 26.0 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →
