Buddha Life Story Thangka – 41×51 cm, Fine Grade
Shakyamuni Buddha sits at the centre holding a bowl, inside a round arch topped by a garuda, with two standing Buddhas in oval haloes below him.
Scenes of his life fill a mint-green landscape of hills, rivers and palaces: Queen Maya's dream of the white elephant at the upper left, his passing into nirvana among mourners below the centre, and his victory over the armies of Mara at the lower right, inside a bright orange border.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas. Unmounted: it comes rolled, ready to frame or to have mounted.
Size: 41 × 51 cm (16.1 × 20.1 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →
In the box: the painting, rolled (never folded) in a strong tube.
