Five Manjushri Thangka – 61×83 cm, Fine Grade
Golden Manjushri sits on a lotus of red, blue and green petals, raising a sword in his right hand, his left hand at his heart holding the stem of a blue lotus that bears a book at his left shoulder, framed by a green halo and a gold-coloured aureole set with jewels, among pink and blue peonies.
Four more forms of Manjushri surround him: a red one raising a sword at the upper left, a blue one raising a sword at the upper right, a white one at the lower left and a golden one riding a white snow lion at the lower right, with a flaming jewel at the top and an offering of jewels among green hills and rivers, inside a brown border.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas. Unmounted: it comes rolled, ready to frame or to have mounted.
Size: 61 × 83 cm (24.0 × 32.7 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →
In the box: the painting, rolled (never folded) in a strong tube.
