Ganesh, the elephant-headed remover of obstacles, sits on a low throne with one foot resting on a lotus, holding a mala, an axe, a tusk and a bowl of sweets in his four hands, his rat beside him, framed by a coral halo ringed with blue scrollwork.

The painting is calm and open: a tree with blue-green leaves on the left, soft clouds on the right, and a green meadow with rocks and flowers below.

Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas. Unmounted: it comes rolled, ready to frame or to have mounted.

Size: 35 × 45 cm (13.8 × 17.7 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →

In the box: the painting, rolled (never folded) in a strong tube.
