Guhyasamaja Thangka – 55×77 cm, Master Grade
Guhyasamaja, blue with three faces and six arms, sits cross-legged on a lotus throne in union with his consort, holding a vajra and bell crossed at his heart and implements in his other hands, framed by a green halo and a gold-coloured aureole.
Tsongkhapa sits at the top centre between two teachers, beneath a sun and moon; peonies and coloured clouds fill the sky, an offering table stands before the throne, and two wrathful deities stand in flames below, one buffalo-headed and one many-armed in union.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas. Unmounted: it comes rolled, ready to frame or to have mounted.
Size: 55 × 77 cm (21.7 × 30.3 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →
In the box: the painting, rolled (never folded) in a strong tube.
Also in this painting: Tsongkhapa, teachers, wrathful meditation deities
