Jambhala Thangka – 77×110 cm, Master Grade
Yellow Jambhala sits on a lotus of green, pink and orange petals with his right foot stepping down onto a blue-and-white conch, holding a pink fruit with green leaves in his right hand and a black mongoose in his left, wearing a jewelled crown topped by a jewel in flames.
A green halo filled with roundels of auspicious symbols and rimmed in red frames his head, and an aureole of fine dark blue rays sits inside a gold-coloured band set with coloured roundels.
Four more forms of Jambhala fill the corners: red at the upper left and green at the upper right, white riding a dragon at the lower left, and blue standing on a prone figure at the lower right.
Orange, white and pink peonies surround him on a black ground of gold-coloured clouds and waves, with a jewel in flames below the lotus, inside a yellow-green border.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas.
Size: 77 × 110 cm (30.3 × 43.3 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →
