Jambhala Thangka – 51×67 cm, Fine Grade · MH-2699
Yellow Jambhala, the wealth deity, sits on a coral-red lotus with a white cushion, wearing a jewelled crown set with small blue lotuses, holding a citron in his right hand and a black mongoose that spits a jewel in his left, his right foot stepping down onto a white disc above a twisted blue form, framed by a dark green halo with a gold-coloured scroll rim and an aureole of fine gold-coloured rays inside a rim set with jewels.
Red peonies, dark leaves and pink lotus buds surround him on a black ground filled with gold-coloured scrollwork, with a red lotus in each corner and an offering of a jewel and elephant tusks on a lotus at the bottom, inside an orange border.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas.
Size: 51 × 67 cm (20.1 × 26.4 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →
