Jambhala Thangka – 51×67 cm, Fine Grade · MH-2703
Yellow Jambhala, the wealth deity, sits on a coral lotus holding a black mongoose in his left hand and a citron with leaves in his right, his right foot stepping down onto a white disc wrapped in a blue garland, framed by a green halo edged with gold-coloured scrollwork and an aureole of fine gold-coloured rays set with jewels.
Leafy branches with red lotus buds and red peonies rise around him against a ground that shades from black above through orange to white behind the lotus, and a bowl of jewels with tusks rests on a small red lotus at the centre below.
Broad gold-coloured scrollwork with a red lotus in each corner frames the scene, inside an orange edge.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas.
Size: 51 × 67 cm (20.1 × 26.4 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →
