Yellow Jambhala, the wealth deity, sits on a pale blue lotus wearing a jewelled crown, holding a citron in his right hand and resting his left on a dark mongoose that spits a jewel, his right foot stepping down onto a blue conch, framed by a halo of gold-coloured feather patterns and scrollwork and an aureole of fine rays.

Painted almost entirely in shades of blue with gold-coloured line work, he is surrounded by blue and violet peonies and leaves on a deep blue ground, with clouds and hills below and an offering vase with jewels on a lotus at the bottom, inside a pale blue border.

Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas.

Size: 52 × 67 cm (20.5 × 26.4 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →
