Shipping & Return

The Kalachakra palace rises in nested square walls of orange, blue, white and black around a small checkered centre, with a gateway topped by a tiered arch on each side and white offering figures on the courtyards.

Around it run rings of blue water, red and black bands carrying Kalachakra mantra syllables and dharma wheels, and a gold-coloured scroll-patterned rim, set on an orange ground, with offerings of the senses in the corners: a conch, a mirror, fruit and cymbals.

Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas. Unmounted: it comes rolled, ready to frame or to have mounted.

Size: 77 × 77 cm (30.3 × 30.3 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →

In the box: the painting, rolled (never folded) in a strong tube.

About Kalachakra Mandala

The Kalachakra ("Wheel of Time") mandala shows the palace of the deity Kalachakra from above: nested square walls with a gateway on each side, set inside rings of fire, vajras, water and mantra syllables. It is one of the most complex mandalas in Tibetan Buddhism, and its geometry follows strict rules handed down by painters for centuries.
