Kalachakra Mandala Thangka – 55×55 cm, Master Grade · MH-17749
The Kalachakra palace rises in nested square walls around a small centre, with a gateway topped by a tiered arch on each side, painted in blues, reds, yellows and white with gold-coloured line work.
Rings of blue waves, multicoloured Kalachakra mantra syllables on red and eight Dharma wheels surround it, inside a gold-coloured scroll-patterned rim, on a deep red ground, with offerings in the four corners, among them the sun and moon and a conch shell.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas. Unmounted: it comes rolled, ready to frame or to have mounted.

About Kalachakra Mandala
The Kalachakra ("Wheel of Time") mandala shows the palace of the deity Kalachakra from above: nested square walls with a gateway on each side, set inside rings of fire, vajras, water and mantra syllables. It is one of the most complex mandalas in Tibetan Buddhism, and its geometry follows strict rules handed down by painters for centuries.
