Shakyamuni Mandala Thangka – 55×55 cm, Fine Grade
Golden Shakyamuni Buddha sits on a lotus, his right hand touching the earth and his left holding a bowl, at the heart of a single palace, painted in gold-coloured line work on a dark ground with zigzag mountains on either side.
The palace and its gateways are worked in gold-coloured lattice and scrollwork with touches of red, blue and green, surrounded by rings of offering figures, Tibetan script and a feather-patterned gold-coloured rim, on a sparkling black ground.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas. Unmounted: it comes rolled, ready to frame or to have mounted.
Size: 55 × 55 cm (21.7 × 21.7 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →
In the box: the painting, rolled (never folded) in a strong tube.
