Kalachakra Thangka – 51×68 cm, Classic Grade
Blue Kalachakra, with many faces and twenty-four arms holding weapons and implements, stands in union with his yellow consort Vishvamata, trampling figures on a yellow lotus base.
A broad arch of patterned bands in many colours rises behind them, topped with peonies, against a blue sky over green hills, with an offering of jewels below.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas. Unmounted: it comes rolled, ready to frame or to have mounted.
Size: 51 × 68 cm (20.1 × 26.8 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →
In the box: the painting, rolled (never folded) in a strong tube.
About Kalachakra
Kalachakra, "Wheel of Time", is a meditation deity of great complexity: blue, with many faces and twenty-four arms, in union with his consort Vishvamata. His teachings relate the cycles of time in the cosmos and in the body.
