Lokeshwor Thangka – 63×83 cm, Master Grade
Eleven-headed, thousand-armed Lokeshwor stands on a lotus at the centre, the circle of his many hands forming a white halo behind him, beneath an arch of golden makaras and elephants on jewelled pillars in the Newar style.
Manjushri with his sword sits on the left and wrathful blue Vajrapani on the right; a row of Buddhas and teachers runs across the top, White Tara and Green Tara sit in the upper corners among the eight auspicious symbols, and a row of deities and a small teaching scene fill the base.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas. Unmounted: it comes rolled, ready to frame or to have mounted.
Size: 63 × 83 cm (24.8 × 32.7 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →
In the box: the painting, rolled (never folded) in a strong tube.
Also in this painting: Manjushri, Vajrapani, White Tara, Green Tara, Buddhas and teachers
About Lokeshwor
