Mahakala Thangka – 60×84 cm, Fine Grade
Two-armed Mahakala, dark and wrathful, squats on a lotus base, holding a curved knife and a skull cup at his heart and a staff across his arms, crowned with skulls, before a halo of gold-coloured flames.
Clouds and gold-coloured flowers fill the black sky, and a river with small figures winds through hills and flowering plants below, all in fine gold-coloured line work.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas. Unmounted: it comes rolled, ready to frame or to have mounted.
Size: 60 × 84 cm (23.6 × 33.1 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →
In the box: the painting, rolled (never folded) in a strong tube.
