Padmasambhava, Guru Rinpoche, sits on a violet lotus wearing his lotus hat, holding a vajra and a skull cup, with his staff in the crook of his arm, his robe drawn in fine gold-coloured line work on black.

Two dragons and a garuda frame him above an arch of scrolling gold-coloured clouds, with peonies on either side and an offering of jewels on gold-coloured clouds below.

Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas. Unmounted: it comes rolled, ready to frame or to have mounted.

Size: 57 × 81 cm (22.4 × 31.9 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →

In the box: the painting, rolled (never folded) in a strong tube.
