Palden Lhamo Thangka – 76×105 cm, Master Grade
Palden Lhamo, the fierce protectress, rides side-saddle on a yellow mule across a sea of pink waves, dark blue with three eyes and a crown of skulls, raising a club and holding a skull cup, inside a great mass of dark smoke and orange flames, with animal-headed attendants running beside her.
Tsongkhapa sits on a lotus at the top centre between two teachers in yellow hats on thrones; below, her retinue rides on clouds over green hills, among them a white goddess on a snow lion at the centre and riders on horses, mules, deer and tigers, with an offering at the foot, inside a dark red border.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas. Unmounted: it comes rolled, ready to frame or to have mounted.
Size: 76 × 105 cm (29.9 × 41.3 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →
