Shakyamuni Buddha Thangka – 60×83 cm, Master Grade
Shakyamuni Buddha sits on a lotus throne, his right hand touching the earth and his left holding an alms bowl, his red-brown robe covered in gold-coloured patterning, framed by a green halo with a pink rim, a blue rayed body halo and a gold-coloured aureole, among peonies.
Red Amitabha and the blue Medicine Buddha sit in roundels on clouds in the upper corners, with rainbow rays and a jewel at the top; below, his two disciples stand in rayed haloes holding staffs and alms bowls, with an offering of jewels between them, in a landscape of rivers, hills and snow peaks.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas. Unmounted: it comes rolled, ready to frame or to have mounted.
Size: 60 × 83 cm (23.6 × 32.7 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →
