About this thangka
Shipping & Return

Shakyamuni Buddha sits on a pink lotus beneath a great spreading tree, his right hand touching the earth and his left holding a dark blue alms bowl, his red-brown robe covered in gold-coloured geometric patterning.

Around him lies a soft landscape of hills under a grey-green sky with cream clouds: flowering trees at the left, a waterfall at the right, peonies in the lower left corner and a river at the bottom right, with an offering of jewels, tusks and a conch on the ground in front, inside a dark red border.

Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas. Unmounted: it comes rolled, ready to frame or to have mounted.

Size: 58 × 82 cm (22.8 × 32.3 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →

In the box: the painting, rolled (never folded) in a strong tube.
