Shakyamuni Buddha Thangka – 51×66 cm, Master Grade
Shakyamuni Buddha sits on a blue, green, orange and pink lotus, his right hand touching the earth and his left holding a blue alms bowl, his red-brown robe covered in dense gold-coloured patterning, framed by a pale pink halo.
Around him opens a soft landscape painted in pale washes: a pine-like tree at the left, pastel peaks and a river at the right, a crescent moon and the sun in the sky, and offerings in front of the lotus, among them an endless knot and a wheel, inside a red border.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas. Unmounted: it comes rolled, ready to frame or to have mounted.
Size: 51 × 66 cm (20.1 × 26.0 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →
In the box: the painting, rolled (never folded) in a strong tube.
