Tibetan Astrology Calendar Thangka – 61×65 cm, Classic Grade
A Tibetan astrology chart: a great golden turtle, its head a fierce face at the top, carries on its back a wheel of the twelve animals of the zodiac around the eight trigrams and a central square of nine numbers.
Across the top sit the Kalachakra ten-syllable monogram, wrathful blue Vajrapani, Manjushri, four-armed Chenrezig and a square of protective syllables; stacked trigram towers stand at either side, and two more astrological wheels and a set of ritual objects fill the bottom.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas. Unmounted: it comes rolled, ready to frame or to have mounted.
Size: 61 × 65 cm (24.0 × 25.6 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →
In the box: the painting, rolled (never folded) in a strong tube.
Also in this painting: Kalachakra monogram, Vajrapani, Manjushri, Chenrezig
