Wheel of Life Thangka – 50×69 cm, Fine Grade
Dark Yama, crowned with skulls, grips the Wheel of Life in his hands, feet and jaws, his tiger-skin tail hanging below.
At the hub, a rooster, a snake and a pig stand for desire, anger and ignorance; the six realms of rebirth fill the wheel, the outer rim shows the twelve links in pink roundels, and a bodhisattva and a standing Buddha appear in the clouds at the top.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas. Unmounted: it comes rolled, ready to frame or to have mounted.
Size: 50 × 69 cm (19.7 × 27.2 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →
In the box: the painting, rolled (never folded) in a strong tube.

About Wheel of Life
The Wheel of Life is held by Yama, lord of death. At its hub, a rooster, a snake and a pig stand for desire, anger and ignorance; around them are the six realms of rebirth and, on the rim, the twelve links of dependent origination. A Buddha outside the wheel points to the way out.
Also known as Riduk.
