Wheel of Life Thangka – 45×60 cm, Classic Grade · MH-3600
Blue Yama, with three eyes and a crown of five skulls, grips the Wheel of Life in his hands, feet and jaws, a tiger skin hanging below.
At the hub, a rooster, a snake and a pig circle each other; a pale blue and dark red ring shows beings rising and falling, six sections show the realms of rebirth, each with a standing Buddha, and the outer rim shows the twelve links of dependent origination.
A white bodhisattva holding a pink flower stands at the upper left and a standing Buddha points from the upper right, with flying figures on clouds between them and dragons among clouds in the lower corners, inside a border of dragons, flowers and dharma wheels.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas.
Size: 45 × 60 cm (17.7 × 23.6 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →

About Wheel of Life
The Wheel of Life is held by Yama, lord of death. At its hub, a rooster, a snake and a pig stand for desire, anger and ignorance; around them are the six realms of rebirth and, on the rim, the twelve links of dependent origination. A Buddha outside the wheel points to the way out.
Also known as Riduk.
