Blue Yama, crowned with skulls, grips the Wheel of Life in his hands, feet and jaws, set against a deep blue ground.

At the hub, a rooster, a snake and a pig stand for desire, anger and ignorance; a standing Buddha appears in each of the six realms of rebirth, and the outer rim shows the twelve links of dependent origination.

A white bodhisattva and a standing Buddha stand in the upper corners, two dragons curl among clouds below, and a wide orange border of dragons frames the whole.

Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas. Unmounted: it comes rolled, ready to frame or to have mounted.

Size: 45 × 60 cm (17.7 × 23.6 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →

In the box: the painting, rolled (never folded) in a strong tube.

About Wheel of Life
