Vairocana Thangka – 59×83 cm, Fine Grade
White Vairocana, with four faces, sits in meditation holding a dharma wheel at his heart, before a burst of golden rays, inside a large oval of red peonies and leaves with gold-coloured highlights.
The whole painting is worked in shades of red: four dragons curl in the corners outside the oval, and a jewel and an endless knot rest below.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas. Unmounted: it comes rolled, ready to frame or to have mounted.
Size: 59 × 83 cm (23.2 × 32.7 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →
In the box: the painting, rolled (never folded) in a strong tube.
