White Tara Thangka in Silk Brocade · MH-205
White Tara sits on a lotus of blue, red and orange petals, her right hand on her knee in the gesture of giving and her left at her heart holding the stem of a blue flower that opens at her shoulder, with eyes on her forehead and palm and a small red Buddha in her flowered crown.
A large red halo and an aureole of fine blue rays with a gold-coloured rim set with red and blue jewels frame her, with orange-red peonies and blue flowers on either side, white and green clouds in a blue sky, and green hills around the water below, where a gold-coloured jewel emblem and a conch rest on a lotus.
It is mounted in silk brocade.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas.
