Shipping & Return

Yamantaka, the buffalo-headed conqueror of death, stands alone with many heads, arms and legs, holding a skull cup at his heart, amid flames drawn in red and dark line work on a gold-coloured ground.

Tsongkhapa sits at the top under a rainbow between four-armed Chenrezig and Manjushri, and below sit a wrathful deity in flames and a wealth deity on a lion, with an offering of jewels between them.

Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas. Unmounted: it comes rolled, ready to frame or to have mounted.

Size: 60 × 83 cm (23.6 × 32.7 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →

In the box: the painting, rolled (never folded) in a strong tube.

Also in this painting: Tsongkhapa, Chenrezig, Manjushri, a wealth deity

About Yamantaka

Yamantaka, "destroyer of death", is the wrathful form of Manjushri. He has a buffalo head, many arms and legs, and is often shown in union with his consort, trampling figures that stand for death and ignorance.
