Vajrakilaya Thangka – 102×131 cm, Master Grade
Dark blue Vajrakilaya stands in a wide stance on two figures lying on a yellow cloud-patterned disc on a lotus, with three faces, dark blue, white and red, each with three eyes, crowned with skulls and a small vajra, his dark hair streaming up behind him and great dark wings spread behind his six arms, rolling a ritual dagger between his central hands.
His outer hands hold vajras and other implements, an elephant skin, a spotted animal skin and a garland of heads hang from his body, and a great wall of orange and red flames rises around him.
Red Amitabha holding a bowl sits at the top between two teachers in pointed yellow hats, blue wrathful figures ride a tiger and a white lion in the upper corners, and three more riders on horses and a white lion appear in flames along the bottom, on a landscape of brown hills, trees and rivers.
