A seated Buddha sits at the centre of an eight-pointed mandala palace inside a great circle of gold-coloured rings, with more Buddhas at the gates and corners.

Thousand-armed Chenrezig stands in a temple at the top, Buddhas and teachers sit among clouds in the upper corners, and figures, temples and wrathful deities fill the hills and rivers below, all in fine gold-coloured line work on black with touches of blue.

Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas. Unmounted: it comes rolled, ready to frame or to have mounted.

Size: 54 × 70 cm (21.3 × 27.6 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →

In the box: the painting, rolled (never folded) in a strong tube.

Also in this painting: Thousand-armed Chenrezig, Buddhas, teachers, wrathful deities
