Buddha Mandala Thangka – 63×83 cm, Fine Grade
Shakyamuni Buddha sits at the centre of a small palace inside a great mandala circle, touching the earth with his right hand, with two attendants standing beside his throne, surrounded by rings crowded with Buddhas, figures with joined palms in lotus-shaped niches and blue wrathful protectors, inside a broad gold-coloured rim.
Eleven-headed, thousand-armed Chenrezig stands in a palace at the top centre, with four-armed Chenrezig on blue clouds in the upper corners and blue wrathful deities in flames between them.
Below, a blue many-headed, many-armed wrathful deity sits in flames at the centre, among Buddhas, seated figures, palaces, deer and wrathful figures on green hills, inside a border of blue dragons and pink flowers.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas.
Size: 63 × 83 cm (24.8 × 32.7 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →
