Chenrezig Thangka – 115×158 cm, Master Grade
White four-armed Chenrezig sits on a large pink and white lotus above blue water, two hands joined at his heart holding a blue jewel and the others holding a crystal mala and the stem of a pale blue lotus that opens at his shoulder, an antelope skin over his left shoulder and a green shawl patterned in gold-coloured line work, framed by a red halo ringed in grey-blue and an aureole of gold-coloured scrollwork.
Red Amitabha holding a bowl sits on a lotus among clouds above his head, a white dragon clutching a flaming jewel and an olive-green phoenix fly in the grey sky at the upper corners, and snow peaks, a waterfall, a pink peony and trees fill the landscape on either side.
Golden Manjushri raises a flaming sword on a lotus at the lower left and wrathful blue Vajrapani stands in flames at the lower right, with a flaming jewel, round jewels, coral and tusks set out between them, inside a tan border.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas.
Size: 115 × 158 cm (45.3 × 62.2 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →
