Chenrezig Thangka – 70×110 cm, Fine Grade
White four-armed Chenrezig sits on a lotus with two hands joined at his heart and the others holding a mala and a blue lotus, wearing a jewelled crown set with pink and blue flowers, a patterned green shawl and a pink antelope skin over his left shoulder, framed by an orange halo with a pink rim and an aureole of dark rays inside a band of gold-coloured scrollwork set with jewels.
The five Buddhas, in gold, blue, red, white and green, sit in haloes on lotuses among clouds across the top; below, golden Manjushri raises his sword at the lower left and wrathful blue Vajrapani stands in red flames at the lower right, with orange and pink peonies between them and an offering of jewels at the foot.
Snow peaks, red rocks, waterfalls and green hills fill the landscape under a sky that deepens to purple at the top, inside a dark border.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas.
Size: 70 × 110 cm (27.6 × 43.3 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →
