Chenrezig Thangka – 51×66 cm, Classic Grade
White four-armed Chenrezig sits on a pink lotus, his first two hands joined at his heart, a crystal mala in his upper right hand and a blue lotus in his upper left, with a deerskin over his left shoulder and his robes patterned in fine gold-coloured line work.
Painted on a black ground, he is framed by a gold-coloured halo and an aureole of gold-coloured rays and scrollwork, with the six syllables of Om Mani Padme Hum in gold-coloured roundels among blue clouds above and a victory banner on a pink lotus at the top centre.
Grey peonies and pink lotus buds on gold-coloured stems rise on either side, and gold-coloured hills, blue water and rocks fill the ground below, with a swirl emblem in a flame-shaped frame on a pink lotus at the bottom centre, inside an orange-red border.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas.
Size: 51 × 66 cm (20.1 × 26.0 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →
