Green Tara Thangka – 59×83 cm, Fine Grade
Green Tara sits on a lotus with her right foot stepping down, her right hand at her knee in the gesture of giving and her left at her heart holding the stem of a lotus, with flowers opening at both shoulders; she is painted in pale washes of green, red and blue, set against a ground of gold-coloured paint covered in fine line work of clouds, waves and flowers.
Three Buddhas holding bowls sit in haloes across the top; below, Vajrasattva holds a vajra and bell on the left and White Tara sits on the right, with a bowl of jewels between them, among blue peaks, waves and clouds, inside a red border.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas. Unmounted: it comes rolled, ready to frame or to have mounted.
Size: 59 × 83 cm (23.2 × 32.7 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →
