Green Tara Thangka – 51×67 cm, Fine Grade
Green Tara sits on a red lotus, her right leg stepping down onto a small blue lotus, her right hand in the gesture of giving and her left at her heart, each holding the stem of a blue lotus that opens at her shoulders; she wears a gold-coloured crown set with red and blue flowers and a white sash across her chest.
An orange halo rimmed with gold-coloured scrolls and a gold-coloured aureole set with jewels frame her among dark green leaves, blue lotuses, pink peonies and red lotus buds.
Bold gold-coloured scrollwork fills the black ground, with red lotuses in the four corners and an offering of jewels and tusks in a bowl below, inside an orange border.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas.
Size: 51 × 67 cm (20.1 × 26.4 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →
