Green Tara Thangka – 51×67 cm, Classic Grade
Green Tara sits on a coral-red lotus, her right leg stepping down onto a small white lotus ringed with blue petals, her right hand at her knee in the gesture of giving and her left at her heart, each holding the dark stem of a blue lotus that opens beside her.
She wears a gold-coloured crown set with small red and blue flowers, large hoop earrings, long necklaces and a white sash, framed by an orange-red halo rimmed with gold-coloured scrolls and a gold-coloured aureole of scrollwork set with jewels.
Blue lotuses, coral peonies and dark green leaves surround her on a ground that shades from black through cream to dark green, with gold-coloured scrollwork and coral lotuses in the corners, a gold-coloured bowl holding coral, a jewel and tusks below and an orange border.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas.
Size: 51 × 67 cm (20.1 × 26.4 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →
