Green Tara Thangka – 42×58 cm, Fine Grade
Green Tara sits on a lotus with her right foot stepping down onto a small lotus, her right hand at her knee in the gesture of giving and her left hand at her heart, holding the stem of a blue flower that opens beside her shoulder.
She wears a jewelled crown, orange and white silk scarves and a blue skirt patterned in gold-coloured line work, framed by an orange halo and a gold-coloured aureole of scrollwork set with coloured jewels.
Pink peonies, clouds and the sun and moon fill the blue sky, snow peaks rise behind green hills, and below, an offering of jewels sits on a leaf above a stream.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas. Unmounted: it comes rolled, ready to frame or to have mounted.
Size: 42 × 58 cm (16.5 × 22.8 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →
In the box: the painting, rolled (never folded) in a strong tube.
