Green Tara sits at the centre on a pink lotus, her right leg stepping down onto a smaller lotus, her right hand in the gesture of giving and her left at her heart, each holding the stem of a pink lotus, set against pink rocks, green hills and water in a small roundel.

An orange-red lotus drawn in gold-coloured line work with auspicious symbols surrounds her, and rings of Tibetan mantra script in gold-coloured line work circle out across a ground that shades from teal to deep navy, closed by a rim of gold-coloured scrolls.

Gold-coloured and lilac peonies fill the four brown corners, inside a slate-grey border.

Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas.

Size: 56 × 56 cm (22.0 × 22.0 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →

About Mantra Mandala

A mantra mandala arranges the syllables of a mantra, most often Om Mani Padme Hum, in rings around a central seed syllable. Each ring is lettered by hand, and the finest are painted in fine gold-coloured script on black.
