Medicine Buddha Mantra Mandala Thangka – 56×56 cm, Fine Grade
The blue Medicine Buddha sits at the centre on a pink lotus, his right hand reaching down to his knee holding a green sprig and his left holding a green bowl in his lap, in red and orange robes patterned in gold-coloured line work, framed by a gold-rimmed halo and an aureole of gold-coloured scrollwork before a small landscape with a pink lotus and grey rocks.
An orange-red lotus with the eight auspicious symbols in gold-coloured line work surrounds him, inside rings of gold-coloured Tibetan mantra script on bands that shade from green to deep blue.
A rim of gold-coloured cloud scrolls closes the circle, with pale blue and pale yellow peonies among gold-coloured leaves in the black corners, inside an orange-red border.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas.
Size: 56 × 56 cm (22.0 × 22.0 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →

About Mantra Mandala
A mantra mandala arranges the syllables of a mantra, most often Om Mani Padme Hum, in rings around a central seed syllable. Each ring is lettered by hand, and the finest are painted in fine gold-coloured script on black.
