Padmasambhava Mantra Mandala Thangka – 56×56 cm, Fine Grade
Padmasambhava sits at the centre in a roundel of pink rocks and blue-green hills, wearing his lotus hat, holding a vajra in his right hand and a skull cup with a vase in his left, his staff in the crook of his arm, on a lotus with jewels below.
An eight-petalled lotus of gold-coloured patterning on dark red surrounds him, holding a dharma wheel, an endless knot and other auspicious symbols, and rings of Tibetan mantra script in gold-coloured line work circle out across a disc that glows orange in the middle and deepens to red towards both edges.
A rim of gold-coloured cloud scrolls closes the circle, with blue and pale green peonies and white wavy lines in the four black corners, inside a dark brown border.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas.
Size: 56 × 56 cm (22.0 × 22.0 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →

About Mantra Mandala
A mantra mandala arranges the syllables of a mantra, most often Om Mani Padme Hum, in rings around a central seed syllable. Each ring is lettered by hand, and the finest are painted in fine gold-coloured script on black.
