Mantra Mandala Thangka – 107×107 cm, Classic Grade · MH-2641
Dozens of concentric rings of tiny Tibetan mantra script, painted in gold-coloured line work on black, circle out from a single tiny syllable at the centre.
A broad gold-coloured border of lotus petals and fine feather-like patterning closes the circle, set inside a thin white square on the black ground.
This painting is one of a small set painted to the same design; each is painted by hand, so details differ slightly from piece to piece. The photo shows this piece.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas. Unmounted: it comes rolled, ready to frame or to have mounted.
Size: 107 × 107 cm (42.1 × 42.1 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →
In the box: the painting, rolled (never folded) in a strong tube.
About Mantra Mandala
A mantra mandala arranges the syllables of a mantra, most often Om Mani Padme Hum, in rings around a central seed syllable. Each ring is lettered by hand, and the finest are painted in fine gold-coloured script on black.
