Mantra Mandala Thangka – 108×108 cm, Fine Grade
A gold-coloured Om sits at the centre on an orange disc, ringed by small gold-coloured mantra script on dark green, inside a lotus of eight orange and gold-coloured petals holding the eight auspicious symbols: a dharma wheel, a parasol, a pair of fish, a vase, a lotus, a conch, an endless knot and a victory banner, each on blue, red or green.
A ring of pink and blue petal panels follows, then a broad dark green band filled with many rings of tiny gold-coloured mantra script, closed by a rim of cloud scrolls in pink, blue, green and gold-coloured segments.
The circle glows yellow against an orange ground, with green and blue cloud scrolls and offerings of the senses, among them cymbals, fruit and a conch, in the corners, inside a red border.
Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas.
Size: 108 × 108 cm (42.5 × 42.5 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →
About Mantra Mandala
A mantra mandala arranges the syllables of a mantra, most often Om Mani Padme Hum, in rings around a central seed syllable. Each ring is lettered by hand, and the finest are painted in fine gold-coloured script on black.
