At the centre, yellow Jambhala sits on a pink lotus against a green halo, his right foot stepping down and a dark round fruit in his right hand, inside a roundel of gold-coloured scrollwork set with white flowers, ringed by coloured petal panels and a broad rim of fine gold-coloured scrollwork.

Dozens of rings of tiny Tibetan mantra script in gold-coloured line work circle out across a disc that shades from pale blue at the centre to deep navy at the edge.

Gold-coloured flowers drawn in red line work fill the four black corners, inside a blue border carrying rows of gold-coloured script and a dark brown edge.

Hand-painted in Nepal on cotton canvas.

Size: 110 × 110 cm (43.3 × 43.3 in), including the painted border. Hand-painted, so allow ±1–2 cm. Size guide →

About Mantra Mandala

A mantra mandala arranges the syllables of a mantra, most often Om Mani Padme Hum, in rings around a central seed syllable. Each ring is lettered by hand, and the finest are painted in fine gold-coloured script on black.
