Samantabhadra
Two different figures share the name Samantabhadra. Samantabhadra, "universal goodness", is the bodhisattva of practice and vows. He rides a white elephant and, with Manjushri, attends Shakyamuni in Chinese Buddhism.
In the Nyingma tradition, Samantabhadra is the primordial Buddha: deep blue and unadorned, often shown in union with his white consort Samantabhadri. The pair stand for the original, unconditioned nature of mind.
Every Samantabhadra thangka here is hand-painted in Nepal and one of a kind. Read more in our guide to Samantabhadra thangkas.
